The global studies major is a humanities-based interdisciplinary major providing students the tools to study, encounter, and engage with the people, cultures, and languages throughout history and in the ever-changing present.

Intermediate or Accelerated Intermediate World Language courses (4-8)*
Global Studies Electives: 36 Credits
Select five World History courses at the 300- or 400-level. Excludes HIST 300, HIST 495, and HIST 497. (20)
Select four World Language courses at the 300/400-level. One course must be in the culture of the chosen language. Two or more culture courses preferred. (16)
Cultural Immersion: 4 Credits
Complete four credits of international study or internship, subject to approval of academic advisors (4) or
