Disability, Health, and Physical Activity Concentration (any KINE Dept major)

The disability, health, and physical activity concentration is a specialized track designed for students interested in understanding the intersection of disability, health, and physical activity. This program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to promote health, physical well-being, and inclusive fitness opportunities for individuals with disabilities across various settings. Students will gain a deep understanding of the physical, psychological, and social aspects of disability, and how these influence health outcomes and participation in society.

Admissions Requirement: Students must have a 2.50 minimum overall GPA and be admitted to a Kinesiology Department major.

Progression Policy: Students must earn a C- in all courses within the concentration to progress to the next class.

Disability, Health, and Physical Activity Concentration: 9 Credits


Total Required Credits: 9


NOTE: KINE 165  is a prereq to all courses listed as options in the concentration.
