The doctor of audiology (Au.D.) is a three-to-four-year program (depending on cohort) that combines years of academic coursework and clinical placements with a one-year, full-time externship. This program is created as an on-campus traditional didactic educational component with clinical placements within the community. Candidates who complete this program will be eligible for both state licensure and national certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
