PHLT 608 - Leadership for Health Professionals (3) This course prepares health professionals to lead change and the transformation of healthcare organizations, systems, and policy in response to environmental forces. Leadership is a reciprocal influence process between leaders and followers to achieve a shared goal. Students will explore the theoretical foundations of leadership as well as assess their own leadership style/approach. This course will address the importance of interprofessional teams and team dynamics. Students will integrate leadership theory and practice to lead significant change initiatives to enhance patient, community, organizational, system, and/or policy outcomes.
