Students enrolled in the bachelor of science in nursing RN-BSN program in the Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing are prepared to use knowledge, critical thinking skills, and practice skills learned from both nursing and liberal arts to provide professional nursing care in a variety of clinical settings. This program is designed to prepare students to further their education and for those who have completed an associate degree nursing program and are licensed to practice as an RN.

This will include the following: - Nursing Prerequisite Course Requirements (some of the following might be satisfied with coursework taken during completion of the AAS degree):
- Anatomy and Physiology with a Lab (satisfies Gen Ed Natural Science)
- Developmental Psychology across the Lifespan (or equivalent) (satisfies Gen Ed Natural Science)
- Microbiology with Lab (satisfies student’s other approved health course)
Nursing Major (RN to BSN Online): 39 Credits
Continuing Studies Core Courses: 9 Credits
Nursing Credit Accepted/Assigned: 42-45 Credits
- Transfer Credit with an AAS degree: 42-45 Credits
- NCLEX Examination Confirmation
Total Required Credits: 120
*Students who have earned an AAS or comparable two-year nursing degree may apply up to 60 hours of credit toward the 120-hour requirement for the award of a bachelor’s degree. This transferable degree may satisfy some or all General Education requirements. |
