The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers two majors: mathematics and computer science, both leading to a bachelor of science degree. The computer science major also has three concentration options: computer engineering, cybersecurity, and software engineering, while the mathematics major has a concentration option in data science.

The department also offers four minors: computer science, data science, mathematics, and an interdisciplinary minor in bioinformatics, offered in cooperation with the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences . The bioinformatics minor is available in three variations, depending on the student’s major: one for biology or biochemistry majors, one for computer science majors, and one for majors in other disciplines.

*See the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences  for program requirements for the bioinformatics minor for biology and biochemistry majors.
