SLPA 609 - Cognitive-Communicative Disorders in Adults (3)

This course will focus on the pathophysiology of acquired brain injuries and the neuroanatomical correlates of the cognitive and communicative impairments associated with brain injury in pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. Particular attention will be given to treatment strategies, using the World Health Organization guidelines for functional outcomes, as they relate to return to school and/or work for the survivor of ABI. Prereqs: SLPA 503 and SLPA 504.
