Study of the concepts of pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics used as a means of assessing and analyzing the need for medication, as well as planning, implementing, and evaluating the therapeutic effect of medication. Selected drugs within categories are compared and contrasted for indications, efficacy, therapeutic, and adverse effects, monitoring parameters, dosing principles, and common drug interactions.
