SLPA 622 - Seminar in Multicultural Perspectives in Speech-Language Pathology (3) This course explores the intersection of culture and communication disorders, equipping speech-language pathology students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively work with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Through a multicultural lens, students will explore the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders in individuals from diverse backgrounds. The course will emphasize the importance of cultural sensitivity, cultural awareness, and culturally responsive practices in providing equitable and effective speech-language pathology services.
