SLPA 620 - Faith and Ethics in the Practice of SLP (3) This course examines the role of spirituality and ethics for the speech language pathologist in the healthcare and education systems. The following topics are examined in the course: worldview and religious beliefs across culture; theological perspectives for complex professional issues; the profession’s historical and current relationship to religion and spirituality; toxic faith; spiritual/religious perspectives on healthcare, education, and ethical decision making; and religious/spiritual tension for the speech-language pathologist.
