EDUC 306 - Field Experience in Education II (1) This one-credit hour field experience practicum is a course designed to allow teacher candidates to explore teaching and learning through observation of and engagement with K-6 students. EDUC 306 provides the opportunity for ESEC and Elementary Teacher Education candidates to observe the intersection of theoretical learning and practical application of children’s literature and other literary arts in a school setting. Through authentic practice in classroom settings, candidates are able to apply arts integration concepts, with a focus on literary arts, in diverse educational contexts. This course serves as a platform for candidates to engage in experiential teaching and learning activities, houses clinical-based assignments and offers various opportunities to future teacher education candidates. Students will be in the field for a minimum of 20 hours over the semester. Co-req: EDUC 300 . Offered: Spring.
