FINC 405 - Private Equity and Impact Investing (3)

This course offers an overview of the theory and practice of private equity and the particular subfield of impact investing. Students will gain practical experience in the diverse types of capital investment, including venture, growth, buyout, and alternative investments. Students will progress through deal sourcing, business valuation, deal structuring and exit steps of the investment decision-making process. Additionally, the course introduces concepts, and vehicles of impact investing, highlighting its role in fostering positive societal change from a Christian perspective. Prereq: FINC 321.
