ECFS 345 - Families and Health (3) This course explores the dynamic relationship between families and health across the lifespan, emphasizing both preventative and remedial approaches to well-being. Students will examine the impact of physical and emotional health on family dynamics, including the effects of illness and disability. Topics include family behaviors related to nutrition, fitness, stress management, and health advocacy, as well as the role of culture in shaping health perceptions and access to care. Through analysis of health care systems and collaborative approaches to care, students will develop foundational skills for assessing family health concerns, promoting coping strategies, and supporting diverse health needs within family systems.
