COMS 307 - Visual Rhetoric (4) This course examines “visuals” as a socially constructed process of recognizing what is seen through political practice, cultural narratives, and everyday communicative behaviors. By examining visuals, articulating their effects, and understanding their social role, we may recognize that much of what we accept and value is largely influenced by what is seen. Students will come to understand visualities as important tools of persuasion. Offered: Fall.
