COSC 310 - Advanced Programming Concepts (4)

Extension of previously acquired programming experiences, with particular emphasis on the use of data abstraction and object-oriented programming in the design and implementation of data structures and algorithms. Topics include advanced data structures, algorithm efficiency and complexity, searching and sorting, tree and graph manipulation, hashing, and polymorphism. Prereqs: Grade of C or better in COSC 210; grade of C or better in COSC 200 or MATH 280 desirable as prereq but may be taken concurrently or with permission of the instructor. Offered: Spring.
