EDUC 326 - Math III: Operations with Numbers in Early Childhood (3)

This course provides an in-depth exploration of foundational mathematical concepts aligned with the K-2 standards in the Alabama Course of Study (ALCOS). The focus will be on developing a strong understanding of counting principles, the structure of the Base Ten number system, and basic operations with numbers. Topics include number sense, place value, addition, subtraction, and strategies for building fluency with these operations. Students will engage with hands-on activities, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques designed to support young learners in developing critical mathematical skills. Prereq: EDUC 200.
