LAW 500 - Called to the Bar (0)

Called to the Bar is designed to introduce first-year students to the legal job market and aid them in developing the skills necessary for long-term professional growth. Students will create a professional portfolio with a résumé, cover letter, reference page, and writing sample, and have the opportunity to engage with practicing attorneys through a variety of networking events, including mock interviews. The course has several interactive workshops with the goal of helping law students find jobs, seek promotions, and develop the skills to meet their professional goals at Cumberland and beyond. Other specific topics covered include networking, interviewing, professional dress and etiquette, social media and e-communications, and personal narratives. Offered: Fall.
