PAST 509 - Clinical Therapeutics I (3) Clinical therapeutics is a three-course series that serves as an introduction to pharmacology with an emphasis on pathology, physiology, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacotherapeutic information of a specific drug or drug class. This course utilizes different formats including lecture, podcasts, cost-effective diagnostic algorithms, case-based studies, and problem-based case scenarios. The first two courses in the sequence will examine the pharmacokinetics behind drug classes and medications, while the final course will look at the clinical uses of the medications including dosing, common and trade names for medications, routes of administration, as well as cost and drug allergies.
