HIIM 601 - Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues in Health Informatics and Analytics (3)

This course covers the ethical guidelines, legal and regulatory rules, and social concerns relevant to the use of health informatics systems and the data included in them. Includes review of regulatory policies and mandates, principals of ethical guidance, and social obligations involved in health systems and the data they contain, both within and outside of the healthcare organization. Prereq: HIIM 502 and HIIM 653. Offered: Fall.
