PHYS 390 - Computational Methods (3) This course will provide an overview of computational methods using modern tools to gain insight from either acquired experimental data or simulations approximating complex physical systems. Students will gain experience using essential computational tools such as the Python programming language, Mathematica, Matlab/Octave, and the Linux operating system. In addition to analyzing experimental data, this course will focus on numerical solutions to complex problems that are intractable with analytical techniques. Prereq: PHYS 102 or PHYS 204 . Offered: Fall, on rotation.
