LAW 717 - State Constitutional Law (2 or 3) This course is designed to provide the basis for a lively and exciting two- or three-credit course in this area of the law that continues to gain importance every day. State constitutional law issues arise in a surprisingly wide range of areas of law practice. Now, more than ever, lawyers and judges are discovering the importance of state constitutions and the judicial interpretations of those constitutions. The text explores the many common themes that appear in the body of constitutional law of all states and focuses on the importance of the unique language and judicial interpretation of state constitutions in resolution of specific issues.
