SLPA 521 - Clinical Phonetics (4)

This course focuses on the study of the production and perception of speech sounds, with emphasis on the description and classification of speech sounds. Introduction and training with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), the symbols used to transcribe speech, is conducted. Transcription practice will include both normal and disordered speech.
