This course serves as the introduction to the knowledge base of biomedical informatics and analytics. It provides an overview of the five broad areas of biomedical informatics (translational, clinical research, clinical, consumer health, and public health) and introduces students to a range of topics covered in greater detail in subsequent core courses.
