The concentration in cybersecurity equips students with skills in threats, vulnerabilities, basic cyber defense mechanisms, encryption, authentication, and security policies. In upper-level cybersecurity courses, students receive targeted training in Security Management (risk assessment, policy, and regulatory compliance), Cyber Engineering (secure system design and configuration management), and Cyber Operations (incident response, threat detection, and security monitoring). Hands-on labs and real-world security incident analyses are woven throughout the curriculum. (available beginning Spring 2025; some adjustments to this program are still in progress)
