The bachelor of science (B.S.) in healthcare administration is focused on developing leaders who are prepared to immediately enter the workforce or pursue a graduate degree. Students will engage in interprofessional activities, service opportunities, professional networking, and intership experiences. Using an innovative and dynamic curriculum, faculty equip students with competencies in communication and relationship management, leadership, professionalism, knowledge of the healthcare system, and business knowledge and skills. As a part of the curriculum, students are required to complete two internship placements, totaling at least 240 hours. The degree allows graduates to join the workforce in many different areas, including hospitals, medical group practices, public health departments, consulting firms, insurance and sales agencies, and government entities.
