HCAD 304 - Cultural Competency for Healthcare Managers (3)

Exploration of the impact of culture on the overall health of a patient or population. Diversity in the healthcare patient population is explored as well as diversity in the healthcare industry. Special focus is given to identifying the role cultural competency plays in being prepared to become an international leader. The course is suitable for nonclinical and clinical students as it focuses on student self-reflections, interpersonal communication, and conflict-resolution skill building. Offered: Fall.
