Students will gain understanding of governance and policy in educational systems. This understanding will be built as students are introduced to policy debates and acquire knowledge and skills from theories, research, and current practices related to governance and policy in educational systems. Students will examine processes that occur at many levels of the education system-from preschool through college, from the statehouse to the schoolhouse, and from Congress to advocacy groups.
