Emphasis is on the principles of pharmacology in relation to various patient populations and disease processes. The concepts of pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapeutics, and pharmacogenetics will be discussed as well as broad categories of pharmacologic agents. This course provides the nurse educator student with the theoretical and clinical knowledge required to teach pharmacology to students enrolled in basic nursing education programs. Prereq: NURG 533.
