MATH 405 - Data Science Practicum (4)

Designed to bridge the gap between data science skills learned in the classroom and real-world applications, this course will engage students in authentic data science projects arising from client sponsors. Students will work collaboratively to meet the client’s needs through data collection, cleaning, exploration, modeling, and interpretation. Throughout the project, the emphasis is on practical problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration as students experience the challenges and rewards of a data science project from inception to conclusion. Prereq: MATH 305. Offered: Spring.
