PHAR 302 - Foundations of the Pharmacy Profession I (2)

This two-course series will address foundational components of the pharmacy profession. This series (i.e., fall and spring) will involve topics such as the United States’ healthcare system, history of pharmacy, ethics, cultural awareness, pharmacy law and regulatory affairs, professional communication, professional development/social and behavioral aspects of practice, and patient safety. This course will also prepare students for their upcoming introductory pharmacy practice experiences (IPPEs) by introducing foundational concepts and other topics crucial to IPPE success.
