SLPA 614 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication (2)

This course will provide principles and methods of counseling for persons with various communication disorders. Students will learn basic counseling and critical-thinking skills to use when working with patients and families. A special emphasis of the course will be to enable students to improve their own personal coping strategies and stress when working with clients and families, and the emotion that coexists within these stressful environments.
