NUNA 700 - Theory and Philosophy of Nursing Practice (3)

Study of philosophy of science and its relationship to the philosophy of nursing as the basis for the highest level of nursing practice. Theory development is explored from the perspective of nursing science, ethics, and the biophysical, psychosocial, analytical, and organizational sciences, and is related to its application in effecting change in health care, administration, and education. Selected metaparadigms and theories from scientific disciplines are analyzed and applied to advanced nursing practice. Cross-listed with NURG 700. Prereq: Admission to the D.N.P. Program.
