BREL 332 - The Interpretation of the Old Testament within the New Testament (4)

An introduction to issues in the interpretation of the Old Testament within the New Testament. Distinctive uses and applications of Old Testament themes and texts in the New Testament will be considered, and sample texts from various authors and books will provide a foundation for discussion and further research. Emphasis will be given to understanding New Testament authors as biblical interpreters and biblical theologians who are informed by their knowledge and experience of Christ and the practical and theological challenges of the early church.
