HIIM 325 - Clinical Data Management I (4)

Students will be instructed in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding. Students will learn the intricacies of the reimbursement process as they relate to coding, documentation, revenue cycle, and regulations set forth by various federal agencies and managed care organizations. Instructor-led and interactive medical coding exercises provide realistic coding simulations for practice and application. Prereqs: BIOL 217, BIOL 218, HIIM 201, and KINE 250. Offered: Spring.
