NURS 405 - National Health Service in the United Kingdom (3)

This course explores the evolution of the largest healthcare system in the world (the National Health Service of the United Kingdom) with an emphasis on its predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine elements. A comparison of health care delivery systems, public health systems, and health promotion approaches in the US and UK will also be undertaken. Using the Interprofessional Educational Collaborative (IPEC) competencies, students will trace the origins of the public health movement as we walk through the streets of London, Edinburgh, and other locations in the UK.
