EDUC 503 - Principles and Application of Curriculum and Instruction (3) This course presents a comprehensive overview of curricular design-principles, foundations, issues, and procedures for developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum. Graduate candidates will determine effective strategies to plan and implement instruction based on knowledge of students, learning theory, connections across the curriculum, curricular goals, and standards. This course will provide practical knowledge for blending content areas to maximize student learning and prepare teachers to meet the needs of all students across the curriculum. Candidates will demonstrate the ability to integrate and apply knowledge for instruction, adapt to diverse students, promote critical thinking and problem solving, and active engagement in learning.
