ESLM 054 - Academic Writing for ESL Environmental Science

ESL class for graduate students of the MSEM program, which will introduce them to academic writing expectations in American universities while supporting their academic content needs. Emphasis will also be given to understanding what plagiarism is and how to properly credit sources and summarize information. Through the projects and research papers required for their courses, students will continue to improve revision skills, citation of sources skills, and development of connected thought. In order to exit an ESL writing, a student must score a level four on an end of the semester writing prompt and receive a recommendation to exit from the professors in the MSEM program.
