ENVM 528 - Challenge to Sustainability: Conserving East Africa’s Biodiversity (3)

Exploration of local, national, and international efforts to manage and conserve East Africa’s biodiversity. Topics include the biogeography of East Africa, its people, history, current conservation issues and the role of sustainable development in the conservation of natural resources. Includes a 15-day safari to East African countries with visits and fieldwork at selected game reserves, discovery centers, and national parks. Cross-listed with BIOL 402. Offered: Summer.
